Rock climbing

Rock climbing

In the region of Huy there are 18 rock massifs known, varying in size with a handful of climbing routes. Most rocks have a height of about 20 to 50 meters.

An overview of the different climbing routes in our region can be found here.
The nearest massifs are the "Porche de Roiseux" at 2.5 km and "Les Rochers de Rigessa" at 3 km with about 50 routes from short to long, from very simple to 6a/b. (Pudding rock = quite unique in Belgium). At 9 km are the 50 meters high "Rochers de Corphalie". A few more climbing routes can be found on the page of our tourist office
Here is a nice drone movie about the Rochers de Rigessa in the valley of the Hoyoux

Climbing regulations in Belgium : As a Belgian you have to be a member of a climbing club to be allowed to climb. To be allowed to climb as a Dutchman in Belgium you need to have a climbing year card. There is an explicit request to take into account the local requirements, which are also mentioned on this sites.
