La Flèche Wallonne on Wednesday in April
The second of the three Ardennes Classics will take place in April the Wednesday after the Amstel Gold Race and just before Liège-Bastogne-Liège and is 12th on the UCI World Tour.
In 2020 this is already the 84th edition.
Our B&B the4willows literally lies in a side street of the local round that the cyclists do with the Wall of Huy as the climax. When the cyclists pass by, they prepare to attack the "Côte d'Ereffe", a climb of 2.1 km with an increase of 5%.
The Wall of Huy, the mythical arrival of La Flèche Wallonne, is a street of 1.3 km (real name Chemin des Chapelles in Huy) that ends on the Plaine de la Sarte. The cyclists pass three times and end at the top. The slope of 26% in a bend makes it one of the most exhausting passages in Europe.
In 2021 Julian Alaphilippe was again the fastest, even though he had to go deep for it. In 2022, Belgian Dylan Teuns was ultimately the strongest until the end.

Rallye du Condroz-Huy beginning of November
La dernière épreuve du Championnat de Belgique des Rallyes est le Rallye du Condroz, programmé début novembre. Durant des semaines, la ville de Huy vit au rythme de ce rendez-vous incontournable. Pendant le week-end du rallye, le bord de Meuse et la région sont envahis par des dizaines de milliers d'amateurs de rallye. Le Rallye du Condroz est la fête de fin d'année pour les fans de rallye en Belgique.
Le parcours du Rallye du Condroz présente deux visages. Au nord de la Meuse, les spéciales tracées en Hesbaye se disputent essentiellement sur des routes en béton, traditionnellement rendues glissantes par la boue argileuse ramenée sur les routes après la récolte des betteraves. Les routes de Marneffe, Wanze ou Bas-Oha notamment ont déjà permis de vivre de belles pages de l'histoire du rallye belge.
Au sud de la Meuse, c'est le Condroz. Avec ses spéciales plus techniques, mais certainement pas moins glissantes ou délicates. Dans cette région, les rallyes sont légion. La patinoire de Goesnes, le Bois de Tihange, le jump de Vierset et la célèbre arrivée de Strée sont chaque année autant de passages obligés pour les fans de rallye.
Comme Ypres, le Rallye du Condroz se caractérise aussi par son atmosphère unique et inégalée. Que ce soit au centre du rallye, à Huy, ou au bord des spéciales. Le recordman absolu de victoires en bord de Meuse, c'est Patrick Snijers, qui compte neuf succès. Bruno Thiry a gagné quatre fois à Huy. Il est suivi par Robert Droogmans, Guy Colsoul et Freddy Loix (3). Le compteur personnel de Marc Duez, Renaud Verreydt, François Duval, Pieter Tsjoen et Kris Princen affiche deux victoires. Que des grands noms du rallye belge. Qui côtoient celui du meilleur rallyman de tous les temps. Sébastien Loeb himself a survolé en 2013 le Rallye du Condroz. C'était évidemment au volant d'une Citroën.
